The Dominica Water & Sewage Company (DOWASCO) played a significant role in representing Dominica at the inaugural UK Caribbean Infrastructure Conference 2023 held in St. Vincent and the Grenadines from November 20 to 24, 2023. This conference marked a crucial gathering of minds under the theme ‘Building Resilience for All.’
DOWASCO, as Dominica’s sole water company, formed part of Dominica’s delegation to the conference, joining project teams from the nine beneficiary countries of the United Kingdom Caribbean Infrastructure Fund (UKCIF) and various development partners from across the Caribbean.
The UKCIF stands as the UK’s flagship program in the Caribbean, aiming to enhance infrastructure development and resilience in the region. The conference provided a platform for collaboration, knowledge sharing, and capacity building, fostering a collective effort toward building a more resilient infrastructure network in the Caribbean.
As part of the Dominica delegation, DOWASCO actively engaged in discussions, shared insights, and contributed to the ongoing dialogue on bolstering the resilience of the Caribbean’s infrastructure.
