Shyan Charles, the missing 13-year-old girl from Mont Tout, St. George, In a heartwarming turn of events, has been found and reunited with her family. The Royal Grenada Police Force expressed gratitude to the general public and the media for their assistance in locating Shyan Charles.
Shyan Charles walked into the Sauteurs Police Station on Thursday, December 21, 2023, marking an end to the anxiety and public-engaged search since her disappearance on December 19, 2023.
The original press release issued on December 20, 2023, sought the assistance of the public in locating the missing teenager. Shyan, described as a slim-built, dark-complexioned girl with scars on either side of her forehead and over her mouth, was last seen leaving her home wearing a white shirt, short blue jeans pants, and a pair of yellow and black Nike slippers.
The Royal Grenada Police Force had urged anyone with information regarding Shyan’s whereabouts to contact the South St. George Police Station, the Police Emergency number (911), the Police Hotline, or the nearest police station.
The community’s response to the appeal for information was commendable, leading to Shyan’s safe return to her family. The police force emphasizes the importance of collaboration between law enforcement, the media, and the public in ensuring the well-being and safety of community members.
The Office of the Commissioner of Police extended its appreciation to all individuals who played a role in Shyan’s safe recovery.
