Dominica is gearing up to host over eight thousand cruise passengers on Monday, January 29, 2024, as the MV AIDAdiva and MSC Seaside are set to dock simultaneously at the Roseau Cruise Ship Berth and Woodbridge Bay Port, respectively. This significant influx of visitors highlights the island’s growing popularity as a premier cruise destination.
The MV AIDAdiva, capable of accommodating three thousand two hundred and fifty-six passengers, will be joined by the MSC Seaside, which can host up to five thousand one hundred and seventy-nine guests. The arrival of these two cruise ships underscores Dominica’s appeal to travelers seeking unique and enriching experiences.
In the ongoing 2023/2024 cruise season, Dominica has already welcomed one hundred cruise vessels, bringing a total of one hundred forty-four thousand seven hundred and eighty-six visitors to its shores. Notably, over one hundred thousand visitors disembarked to explore the island, with a significant number participating in organized tours, showcasing the diverse attractions and activities available.
Dominica has also been honored with inaugural visits from eleven distinguished vessels, including the MSC Explora 1, MV Carnival Venezia, Le Bellot, MV Marella Voyager, MS Vista, MS Borealis, MV Celebrity Beyond, SY Sea Cloud Spirit, MV Aida Mar, MV Costa Fortuna, and MV Azzurra. These inaugural visits reflect the island’s growing appeal and reputation within the cruise industry.
