The vibrant spirit of Dominica’s carnival season reached new heights as the island celebrated the crowning of the new National Carnival Princess in a dazzling showcase of charm, glamour, and excellence. Organized by the Rotaract Club of Roseau, the National Princess Show 2024 captivated audiences at Carnival City in the heart of Dominica’s capital.
Families, pageant enthusiasts, students, and teachers gathered to witness the spectacular event, cheering on the delegates as they competed for the prestigious title. The competition was fierce, with each delegate bringing their unique talents and charisma to the stage, captivating the audience with their grace and poise.
The National Carnival Princess Show 2024 showcased the remarkable achievements and talents of young girls from various schools across the island. The delegates participated in various segments, including talent, costume, party dress, congeniality, and photogenic, demonstrating their versatility and creativity.
Among the standout performances, Ijnanyah James from St. Martin Primary School impressed the judges with her intelligence, earning the title of “Intelligent.” Meanwhile, Mirielle Blanchard from Convent Preparatory School showcased her exceptional talent and won awards for “Best Talent” and “Best Costume.”
Deanna Jacob from Wills Strathmore Primary School dazzled in her costume, earning the title of “Best in Costume,” while Ijnanyah James and Mirielle Blanchard from Convent Preparatory School stole the show with their party dresses, winning awards for “Best Party Dress” and “Best in Party Dress,” respectively.
The delegates exuded warmth and congeniality throughout the competition, with Mirielle Blanchard from Convent Preparatory School winning the “Congeniality” award. Additionally, Ijnanyah James from St. Martin Primary School captured the hearts of the audience and judges alike, winning the “Photogenic” award.
After an evening filled with grace, talent, and excitement, the final results were announced. Acquiera Benjamin from Concord Primary School claimed the third position, followed by Deanna Jacob from Wills Strathmore Primary School as the second runner-up. Ijnanyah James from St. Martin Primary School was named the first runner-up, while the coveted title of Carnival Princess 2024 was awarded to Mirielle Blanchard from Convent Preparatory School.
