Marigot, Dominica – June 26, 2024: The Sports Division will stage the grand finale of the Primary Schools Netball Festival on Friday, June 28, 2024. This highly anticipated event will feature the top two teams, St. John’s Primary School and Wills Strathmore Stevens Primary School, who secured their places in the final following their semi-final victories last Friday in Marigot.
The festival, which commenced on June 11, 2024, with zonal matches at the district level, saw enthusiastic participation from thirty schools across six zones. The competition progressed through the district preliminaries, the intermediate stage, and finally, the knockout stage, leading to this exciting culmination.
The final match will be held at the Massacre Indoor Sports Facility at 3:00 p.m. Prior to the final, a third-place match between Woodford Hill Primary School and Wesley Primary School will take place at 2:00 p.m.
This event promises to be a showcase of young talent and sportsmanship, with both matches expected to be highly competitive and entertaining. The Sports Division encourages the community to come out and support these young athletes as they display their skills and determination on the court.
