Grand Bay, Dominica
The Grand Bay Police are currently investigating a fatal vehicular road traffic collision involving a Nissan pickup truck driven by Phillipson Letang, a male adult residing in Bolom, Grand Bay. The incident also involved two female adult pedestrians: 67-year-old Margaret-Rose Grace Fevrier and Joan Mark, both from Grand Bay.
The collision occurred at approximately 11:40 AM on Sunday, July 20, 2024, on the Grand Bay Catholic Church Road near Peiere Charles Boulevard. Phillipson Letang, accompanied by his wife, was driving the pickup down the Catholic Church Road when the vehicle apparently struck the two pedestrians. The pickup then flipped over a culvert wall and landed in a ditch below the road.
Phillipson Letang and his wife sustained minor injuries and were treated and discharged from the Dominica-China Friendship Hospital later that same day. Joan Mark suffered serious injuries to her left foot and remains a patient at the hospital. Margaret-Rose Grace Fevrier was examined and pronounced dead by a medical doctor at the Emergency Department of the Dominica-China Friendship Hospital later that day.
