Roseau, Dominica – August 12, 2024:
Nate Media is closely following reports of vandalism at the Dominica China Friendship Hospital, one of the island’s leading medical institutions. According to initial reports, the hospital’s official signage and the elevator system in one of its complexes have been targeted by vandals.
The act of vandalism has drawn mixed reactions on social media, with some commenters refraining from outright condemnation. However, the damage inflicted on such a vital public institution is a matter of serious concern, particularly as it will require the Dominica Hospitals Authority to allocate resources for repairs.
At the time of this report, neither the Ministry of Health nor the management of the Dominica China Friendship Hospital has issued an official statement regarding the incident. The silence from authorities has left many in the community waiting for more information and action to address the situation.

The Dominica China Friendship Hospital is a critical healthcare facility, and acts of vandalism not only disrupt its operations but also undermine the efforts to provide quality medical services to the public.
Nate Media will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as more information becomes available.
