Nate Media has learned that authorities are investigating the circumstances that led to a United Kingdom-bound flight, en route from Barbados to Manchester, diverting to Bermuda on Christmas Eve. The incident, involving Maleth Aero Flight 1975, left almost a dozen people injured.

According to a statement from the Ministry of National Security, the Airbus A300-200 experienced severe turbulence at approximately 12:50 a.m., necessitating an emergency landing at LF Wade International Airport. The aircraft, carrying 225 passengers and 13 crew members, executed a controlled landing on the island.
Emergency services, including medical technicians from the Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service, responded to the situation. Eleven people were taken to the hospital, and as of the latest update, nine have been released after receiving treatment.
The ministry confirmed that the aircraft will remain grounded until a comprehensive inspection is completed to ensure its integrity.
