Royal St Lucia Police Force (RSLPF) Investigates Fatal Shooting

The Royal St Lucia Police Force (RSLPF) is currently investigating a fatal shooting in the Marchand community that claimed the life of a young individual.

The victim has been identified as twenty-one-year-old Jakim Duncan, a resident of Bagatelle. The incident took place at approximately 10:30 pm along the Marchand Road. Reports from the RSLPF indicate that Duncan sustained multiple gunshot injuries during the attack.

Emergency services rushed to the scene, and Jakim Duncan was swiftly transported to the Owen King European Union (OKEU) Hospital. Despite the immediate medical attention, Duncan succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at about 11:06 pm the same night.

The police are actively working to gather more information and piece together the circumstances surrounding the shooting, this marks the sixth homicide recorded in Saint Lucia since the beginning of the year.
