The Royal Grenada Police Force has announced a reward of five thousand Eastern Caribbean dollars ($5,000.00) for any individual providing information leading to the recapture of Lyvon Date, also known as “Magic.” Date, aged 33 and a resident of Griffin Lane, Grenville, St. Andrew, stands accused of Capital Murder in connection with the death of Wayne Smart.

Date managed to escape police custody while attending a hearing at the Grenville Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, and has since eluded authorities.
Law enforcement authorities have issued a warning that Date may be armed and dangerous, and caution should be exercised when approaching him.
Anyone who spots Lyvon Date or possesses information regarding his whereabouts is urged to contact the Grenville Police Station at 442-7224, CID St. George’s at 440-3921, Emergency 911, Police Hotline at 444-1958, or the nearest police station immediately.
The Office of the Commissioner of Police emphasizes the urgency of the situation and encourages community members to assist in bringing Date to justice.
