Public Urged to Support Michael Sameul Urgent Medical Care

Portsmouth, Dominica – April 8, 2024

Sameul Has been Hospitalized for 25 Day’s Now

Michael F. Samuel, a 53-year-old NEP (National Employment Programme) Field Supervisor originally from Belmont, St. Vincent, and now a citizen of Dominica, urgently needs the community’s help to receive vital medical care and recovery. Samuel fell ill while on duty during a clean-up campaign against mosquito breeding areas in Long House, Portsmouth, contracting dengue fever and subsequently developing complications.

His condition worsened as he was hospitalized and later contracted MRSA (Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus), a serious bacterial infection. Compounded by his diabetes, this infection has become life-threatening, particularly affecting his leg.

Samuel is a highly valued member of the NEP team, known for his dedication, leadership, and commitment to ensuring that those under his supervision not only complete their tasks but also receive proper compensation for their work.

Concerned for his well-being and determined to prevent amputation, Samuel’s family is seeking urgent medical interventions overseas to save both his leg and his life.

To support Samuel during this critical time, the community is urged to contribute to a fundraiser established for his medical care. Donations can be made to account number 311340 Michael Samuel at the National Cooperative Credit Union (NCCU) or the National Bank of Dominica (Account #8 0 0 0 0 5 3 7 4- Mobile ID:7672950631 ) .

“Every donation, regardless of size, will make a significant difference in Mr. Samuel’s journey towards healing. We appreciate your kindness and generosity,” stated the appeal.
