Dominica’s Ministry of Tourism has announced a significant enhancement in air travel options for travel enthusiasts and Dominicans living abroad. Following what officials have called, Dominica’s successful engagement at Routes America 2024. In a release issued to the Media, officials have announced that American Airlines will be expanding its service frequency, offering daily flights to Dominica from June 5 to August 5, 2024, and from October 7, 2024, to March 31, 2025. the release further highlighted that the expanded service provides for exceptional convenience for travelers planning summer vacations, winter escapes, and participation in Dominica’s vibrant festivals, including the World Creole Music Festival and Carnival 2025.
“I am delighted to share exciting news about enhanced air access to Dominica for the upcoming summer, Christmas, the World Creole Music Festival, and Carnival 2025! American Airlines will operate daily flights from June 5 to August 5, 2024, making it easier than ever to visit home this summer. Moreover, following productive discussions at Routes America last month, American Airlines has adjusted its schedule to offer non-stop flights from October 7, 2024, to March 31, 2025, instead of starting in November 2024 as previously announced. The Ministry of Tourism remains committed to strengthening our partnerships with airline providers as we aim to secure more non-stop and same-day travel options to Dominica,” stated Honourable Denise Charles-Pemberton, Minister for Tourism.
Honourable Charles-Pemberton continued, “To support these daily flights, I encourage the accommodation sector to offer attractive packages for guests planning to travel during the summer, winter, and our festive seasons.
