The Grenada Tourism Authority (GTA) has announced the highly anticipated return of its Dive and Conservation Festival, scheduled for October 25–31, 2025. Now in its fourth year, the event has solidified Grenada’s role as a Caribbean leader in marine conservation, eco-tourism, and sustainable diving practices.
Taking place across Grenada and Carriacou, the week-long celebration will bring together divers, conservationists, students, and marine enthusiasts for a dynamic mix of adventure, environmental action, and education. The festival blends the thrill of diving with critical lessons in sustainability and reef preservation.
A Festival Rooted in Purpose and Preservation
This year’s programme features daily guided dives at some of the region’s most spectacular underwater locations, providing attendees with access to Grenada’s vibrant marine ecosystems—from coral gardens and reef walls to historic shipwrecks.
A central component of the festival is the ‘Conservation-Conversations’ speaker series, which will spotlight international experts, local dive shop owners, and environmental activists discussing reef restoration, climate resilience, eco-diving ethics, and marine policy. Students are especially encouraged to attend, helping foster a next generation of ocean stewards.
“The Dive and Conservation Festival is a unique opportunity to promote sustainable tourism while celebrating Grenada’s incredible marine heritage,” said Shanai St. Bernard, Nautical Development Manager at GTA. “By combining ocean adventure with education, we hope to inspire both visitors and locals to explore our waters responsibly and play an active role in conservation efforts.”
A Festival of Action
Beyond diving and discussion, this year’s lineup includes:
- An opening night celebration to kick off the festival
- A major east coast beach clean-up
- Educational nature days
- A highlight dive excursion to ‘A World Adrift’, the newly unveiled underwater sculpture park in Carriacou
- Coral restoration demos and sea turtle protection projects, demonstrating Grenada’s leadership in marine conservation
Official accommodation partner Mount Cinnamon Beach and Wellness Resort will host the event, while participating dive shops and lodgings across Grenada and Carriacou will offer exclusive discounts to festivalgoers.

Stacey Liburd, Chief Executive Officer of the GTA, emphasized the nation’s long-term vision for eco-conscious tourism:

Grenada has gained a growing reputation in recent years as the “Wreck Diving Capital of the Caribbean,” offering a rich blend of marine history and biodiversity.
