Roseau, Dominica — The Dominica Amateur Volleyball Association (DAVA) is excited to announce the arrival of esteemed Canadian volleyball coach Brian Gavlas. With over 35 years of coaching experience at the university, national team, and professional levels in Europe, Gavlas brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the Dominican volleyball community.
Mr. Gavlas will be assisting DAVA for the next six months, aiming to elevate the standards of volleyball in Dominica. He will be officially introduced to the public during a press conference on Wednesday, June 12th at 11 AM. The event will be held at the Dominica Olympic Committee Headquarters in Bath Estate, and the public is cordially invited to attend.
In conjunction with Mr. Gavlas’ arrival, the technical staff of DAVA has announced the selection of male and female training squads that will work closely with the new coach. The selected players represent the best of Dominica’s volleyball talent, and their training schedules have been set to optimize their development under Gavlas’ guidance.
