The Royal Grenada Police force have launched investigations into a brazen Robbery which occured on Thursday, January 18, 2024, in the the town of Grenville in St. Andrew, leaving the community on edge.
According to initial reports, the incident took place after 4:00 pm when a local businessman was en route to a financial institution within the town to make a deposit. The victim, carrying two bags containing a substantial sum of cash, was ambushed by an individual, appearing to be a young man, standing at the roadside. In a swift and daring move, the assailant seized the bags and fled the scene, disappearing into the crowded surroundings.
The Royal Grenada Police Force is deploying significant resources to aggressively investigate this matter, emphasizing the urgency of community cooperation in solving the crime and recovering the stolen funds.
The victim’s identity and the exact amount of cash taken have not been disclosed for security reasons. However, the impact of this incident on the local business community and the safety of financial transactions within the town is a matter of concern for residents.
