Sherkiah Andrew Former National Princess Crowned as Miss Teen Dominica 2024


Marigot, Dominica – February 5th, 2024

In a dazzling showcase of talent and grace, Sherkiah Andrew, representing the Dominica Grammar School, has been crowned as Dominica’s Miss Teen in the highly anticipated Miss Teen Dominica Pageant. The event, a cornerstone of Dominica’s National Carnival, was organized by the Waiti Kubuli Dance Theatre Company.

Hailing from the picturesque community of Marigot in Dominica’s Northeast, Sherkiah Andrew’s victory has been met with an outpouring of congratulatory messages from across the nation.

In a fiercely competitive contest, Sherkiah who is also a former national princess emerged victorious, triumphing over five other contestants to claim the coveted title. Alongside the crown, she also secured multiple awards, including Miss Photogenic, Best Performing Talent, Best Evening Wear, Best in Spectacular Wear, and Best Response to Question.

Lizanne Cuffy, representing the Convent High School, clinched the first runner-up position, earning accolades for Best Promotional Speech and Best Spectacular Wear. Meanwhile, Nyanna Stevens, also from Marigot and representing the North East Comprehensive School, secured the second runner-up title and was awarded Best in Evening Wear.

Additionally, Geishana Gregoire of the Pierre Charles Secondary School was honored with the title of Miss Amity, as chosen by her fellow contestants, showcasing the camaraderie and unity among the participants.

The Miss Teen Dominica Pageant not only celebrates the beauty and poise of young women but also serves as a platform to showcase their talents, intellect, and charisma.
