Dominica’s calypso arena witnessed a historic moment on Saturday evening as Dennison “King Dice” Joseph secured his place in the annals of local music history by clinching the title of Calypso Monarch for the remarkable tenth time. King Dice’s commanding performance at #10 during the final showdown at Carnival City, Windsor Park Sports Stadium Forecourt, saw him dethrone the reigning 2023 Monarch, “Trilla G,” who had ascended to the throne in his debut year in 2023.

In a display of lyrical prowess and artistic finesse, King Dice captivated the audience with his renditions of “Bring Money” and “Wanted,” showcasing his mastery of the craft and his ability to resonate with the crowd. His commanding stage presence and spirited performance reaffirmed his status as a Dominican favorite and a true calypso virtuoso.
The Dominica Calypso Association took to social media to extend heartfelt congratulations to King Dice on his historic achievement, lauding his tenacity, talent, and dedication to the art form.
The final results revealed Gael “Trilla-G” JnoBaptiste, the 2023 Monarch, as the first runner-up, followed by Shanice and Joy, who secured the titles of second and third runner-up, respectively. The ten finalists, who competed fiercely for the crown, included Queen Tasha-P, King Bobb, Webb, Joy, Shanice, Liberator, Black Diamond, and Checker.




King Dice’s remarkable feat is a testament to his enduring influence on Dominica’s calypso landscape and his unwavering commitment to musical excellence.
