Officials from the Eastern Caribbean Civil Aviation Authority (ECCAA) and the Dominica Air and Sea Ports Authority (DASPA) have conducted an inspection of the Dominica Cable Car Project site to assess its suitability for a helipad.
Led by ECCAA’s Aerodrome Expert, Jaime Calderon, the inspection team visited the construction site to evaluate the proposed location for the helipad. Joining them was Benoit Bardouille, CEO of DASPA, who heads the organization’s management team. The purpose of the visit was to ensure that the helipad’s construction aligns with safety standards and regulations.
Jaime Calderon, who previously contributed to Dominica’s International Airport project, expressed his enthusiasm for the Cable Car Project’s progress. He remarked, “We’re really super excited about this project. I have had [an] idea that progress of Cable Car Project is in full-swings. But after visiting the site for inspection, I’m sure that this project will be going to do wonders.”
The project, expected to introduce helicopters for transportation purposes in Dominica, marks a significant milestone for the island nation. Randy Gliege, the Construction Manager of the Cable Car Project, assured the inspectors of the team’s dedication to ensuring the project progresses according to schedule.
